Fellowship Overview

The Campaign Field Fellowship is an intensive, four-month program designed for individuals seeking to immerse themselves in political organizing and campaign operations. Spanning from February to May 2026, participants will gain direct, hands-on experience within active political campaigns, focusing on grassroots organizing, voter outreach, and community engagement.

The program emphasizes direct voter contact, volunteer recruitment and management, data-driven targeting strategies, and effective message dissemination. Fellows will collaborate closely with campaign staff, receive mentorship from experienced field organizers, and participate in regular training sessions covering best practices in campaign management and ethical conduct.

This fellowship is intended for individuals who possess a strong passion for political action and are committed to making a tangible impact on electoral outcomes.

Fellowship Committee

The fellowship committee will consist of senior members of the campaign including but not limited to the following: Campaign Manager, Field Director(s), Youth Field Coordinator, and Fellowship Coordinator. This committee will be responsible for promoting and recruiting potential fellows, reviewing applications and selecting fellows, outlining the fellowship’s key roles within the campaign, and maintaining fellow involvement throughout the length of the fellowship.

Responsibilities of Fellows

Fellows are crucial for the campaign's field strategy, acting as the direct link to the community. Their varied responsibilities are vital for outreach. They will organize and attend diverse community events, representing the campaign and communicating its message. Direct voter outreach, including door-to-door canvassing and phone banking, is paramount, requiring strong interpersonal skills and campaign message understanding. Fellows will also recruit and train volunteers, providing support and fostering a productive environment. Accurate data entry and management, recording voter contacts and volunteer details, is essential for strategic planning. Beyond daily tasks, Fellows will contribute to localized outreach plans, offering insights from community interactions. During the fellowship, accountability and communication are key, with regular progress reports crucial for tracking performance and achieving campaign objectives, ultimately contributing to a strong grassroots movement and campaign success.

Application Process

Prospective fellows are required to submit an application package for review by the Fellowship Committee. The application must include a cover letter, of no more than 500 words, outlining the applicant's motivations and relevant experience, a resume showcasing their qualifications, and contact information for at least two professional, and/or educational references. The committee will thoroughly evaluate all submissions, with successful candidates moving forward to subsequent stages of the selection process.
